The Moto Academy canceled the camp we purchased for Layla and the others they offered this year were too far from Michigan for us. We are investing her camp money and the other donation money shes recieved into private training!! We signed her up for this moto camp so far 😁

If you have any recommendations on trainers that are local to us please send us their info! We live in the Detroit-ish area so these are our nearest tracks and ORV areas: Supercoop, Milan Mx, The Mounds, Area 50mx and Lebaron's (all within an hour to hour and a half)

Our next closest tracks would be Valley Mx and Morelands (approx 2 hrs away)

Layla's first outdoor track since her injury! Area 50 Mx was a GREAT choice for her start out again! Great track for all types of riders so we will be practicing here for the remainder of the riding season! Thank you to Jay (50Grafx) and to both Jeff's who took Layla out today! We had one Jeff spot her from the front and the other Jeff follow just in case she needed help 😁

Also thank you to Danielle Mayer Sowers and her boyfriend Michael Ellis as well for riding me on the golf cart to watch how she did today!

Layla did great riding today, slow and steady til she got more comfortable! Shout out to Brandon Criswell at OnlyThrottles for saving the day! Layla forgot her goggles at home and thankfully he lived nearby and ran us a new pair of his Only Throttles goggles!! (She now has 2 pairs of them haha) He rode with her for a bit too 😁

Let's get a feel for how much she's recovered lately 💪

We're nearing the one year mark of Layla's accident July 5, 2025! If she does well today we'll begin taking her to practice tracks for the remainder of this riding season to get her back in shape. Next year's return to racing all depends on how well Layla does! She'll be going to a training camp sometime later this season as well. We've got a fund started for her to go to The Moto Academy 🩵

Our family has debated asking this question for months but we do believe it may fill in the missing pieces for Layla and myself (Mom). I was caring for our 2 month old when she crashed and didn't see it, but my husband witnessed it. So I guess its finally time we asked...
