While it may seem logical to some to avoid movement when your joints hurt, the reality is that the right type and amount of exercise is often one of the most effective tools for managing arthritis. Movement helps maintain joint mobility, improve strength, support cartilage health, and reduce stiffness. Avoiding activity altogether may provide temporary relief, but over time it often leads to greater weakness, decreased function, and more limitations.

The goal is not to push through pain blindly. The goal is to find the right dosage of movement that your body can tolerate and adapt to. Just as someone with social anxiety benefits from gradually building confidence through exposure, people with arthritis often benefit from progressively increasing their activity levels in a way that builds resilience rather than fear. Movement is not the enemy. Avoidance is.

Whether it’s soft tissue work, joint mobilization, or targeted hands-on techniques, the goal is to help your body move more efficiently so you can get back to doing what matters most.

At Remarkable Recovery & Rehab, manual therapy is often one piece of a larger plan. While it can provide meaningful relief, lasting results come from combining hands-on care with education, strength training, and progressive movement. is a great beginner friendly group where golf meets networking & fun. With this being said, in this tournament each 2 man was comprised of a beginner & intermediate/experienced golfer and Dr. Luc came out on top alongside Marques! Be on the look out for their next event!

You can spend hours working on your swing , but if your body lacks the mobility, stability, strength, or rotational control needed to support the swing, your performance will be limited.
