22 years ago, I started my first job as a dental sterilizer with Dr. Herbert Chiu, and that’s when I fell in love with dentistry. It was the perfect blend of science and art, and I knew right away that it was what I wanted to pursue. I dreamed of one day becoming a dentist and owning my own practice. After years of hard work, countless late-night study sessions, and many tears—both from failures and successes—I’ve finally made it. As of January 1, 2026, I am officially the owner of Milpitas Orthodontics, soon to be Pure Orthodontics!
I believe everything happens for a reason. The people who cross our paths are meant to enrich the journey we’re on. I wanted to thank everyone who inspired me and supported me along this journey. Particularly, my mom and , for always taking my crap. for listening to me complain everyday after work. for giving me good practice advice. for being motivating. for bringing me sushi when I had back to back meetings. for giving me this opportunity to work here. There are so so many more people that have just been so supportive through this process and I could not have done it without them.
My grandmother always said, “Go big or go home.” I guess I went big this time! :) (And Shane jokes this will be our third baby.)
