I loved watching their journey last year. This year I am discovering the beliefs and practices of the Buddhist world. A very enlightening year for me. 🥰

What a tragic loss for us all, God Bless his family. Rest his soul. Hope his companions can continue the work.

💔🐾 CANADIAN ANIMAL RESCUER JESSE ADAMS KILLED WHILE SAVING ANIMALS IN UKRAINE

The animal rescue community is mourning Jesse Adams, a Canadian military veteran and co-founder of RainCoast Dog Rescue Society, who was killed on October 25, 2026, while helping evacuate animals from a frontline area in eastern Ukraine.

For more than a decade, Jesse dedicated his life to helping animals in need, from neglected pets in Canada to vulnerable animals caught in the devastation of war. He repeatedly ventured into dangerous areas to rescue dogs, cats, livestock, and other animals who had no way to escape on their own. 🥺❤️

Working alongside local rescue teams, Jesse helped save an estimated 1,000 animals from conflict zones. He believed that animals should never be forgotten during a crisis, and he put that belief into action, even when it meant risking his own safety.

Tragically, Jesse was killed when a drone struck the rescue vehicle during an evacuation mission in Kramatorsk. He leaves behind an extraordinary legacy of compassion and countless animals who were given another chance because he chose to help.

Animal Rescue Kharkiv shared that hundreds of animals are alive today because of Jesse's efforts. His loss is deeply felt by fellow rescuers and the many people touched by his work. 💔

Jesse's story reminds us that compassion is more than a feeling. It's the courage to show up for those who cannot save themselves. May his dedication continue to inspire others to protect the vulnerable and give animals the chance at life they deserve. 🐾❤️

I haven’t done much of anything on this page in a long time. My neglect is the result of doing a post three times a week for over a year and then I kinda got burned out so I stopped. My apologies to all of you who follow me. I was going through some things in my library/office and came across the article that is posted here. The article originally appeared in the New York Post in February 2005. I was working in a hotel across from Madison Square Garden in a set up that was called “the green room“. Many exhibitors that were getting ready for the AKC’s biggest show, Westminster kennel club show, were in attendance. It was a place to get Massage talk to me the Animal Communicator get your dog, bathed those kind of things in prepping for the show. The newspaper came and interviewed a few of us that were at the green room working. You can see the article here. I don’t know if you can read it, but I thought it was 21 years ago. My hair doesn’t look the same. I don’t look the same, but I thought it was rather interesting. Always fun to work with the dogs and the people and in case you didn’t know I’d ever done this. I thought I would let you guys know, questions or comments are welcome.
