Roll out your mat, take a deep inhale, and get ready to share your practice with some very opinionated co-yogis. At The Whisker Society's Cat Lounge, our adoptable feline crew will wander, observe, and occasionally judge your downward dog! 🪷

This is a small-group, beginner-welcoming session designed for people who love cats more than they love being perfect at yoga. Expect light flows, a lot of laughs, and plenty of time after class to hang with the cats at your own pace. 🧘‍♀️

Here are a few more beautifully unbound women in our community. I feel incredibly blessed to know women like this that truly do lead by example.

An unbound women trusts herself even when the world around them gets messy. They show strength rather than cowering. They are women I admire and hope others do too.

They are unbound.

Last night my husband and I watched Iron Cowboy The Story of the 50-50-50. Phenomenal movie you should watch it! My husband is a triathlete, I am not, but we both had big takeaways from it.

He tells a story about how his mom who has battled obesity her whole life ran a 5k for 5 days in a row. She was the last to finish everyday, but she did it. That was her hard. James Lawrence completed 50 Ironman distances in 50 days in all 50 states. That was his hard. And he says it doesn’t mean his was any harder than hers, they were both equally as hard for each person.

I think we spend so much time comparing the degree of our hard to other people’s accomplishments that we aren’t celebrating our own wins nearly enough. Or we are so afraid that we won’t finish looking like it was easy that we never start just to save our ego.
Start. Try. Fight. Finish. Don’t worry about not looking pretty at the end. Then celebrate. And don’t take it personal when others aren’t clapping for you. They weren’t even brave enough to try. Celebrate anyway🎉

Hearing about masculine and feminine energy can sound like a foreign language; I know it did for me when I started learning. Now that I understand it I explain it like this, the masculine energy is like the banks of a river. It has a job to do and it’s going to stick to the plan of keeping the water flowing where it’s supposed to, even forcing it when necessary. The water then is the feminine energy. The water flows with freedom, changing directions when it feels like it. Focusing on nurturing a relationship with the wildlife that it encounters rather than competing for control.

One cannot exist without the other, but it’s all about balance. Too much masculine energy-consistent with most men and women today- and you wind up feeling stuck with no passion fueling the fire. Too much feminine energy and you will never get anything accomplished or meeting your potential because you jump ship when the wind changes direction.

If you already know you are out of balance the changes are easier to pinpoint, but if you’re not sure what capacity you are functioning at, let me help you. Come to unbound. and learn about what an imbalance looks and feels like, but also how to FIX it!

Meet Mary from poorgirl and a dog. Mary and I met on the mat and long after that class ended she has had a lasting impact on me.

Mary has experienced the loss of her young son, depression, an eating disorder, divorce, and a relationship that left her questioning her worth for years. Most recently, she has experienced the grief of her mother’s death.
At Unbound, Mary will share her story of loss, resilience, love, and finding her way back to herself—and why she believes you can live through a hard life without letting it harden your heart.

I hope you’ll join us and listen to Mary’s story.
