We are currently looking for a Host Home provider for a young man with Down syndrome and autism to live in their home. Due to his needs and behaviors, a home without children would be the best fit. He can display violent behaviors at times, though these behaviors have significantly decreased when he has a structured schedule and consistent routine.
He does best in a calm, quiet environment and would benefit from someone who has experience supporting individuals with disabilities and understands how to safely respond to behaviors. A strong support team is already in place.
He currently receives DSI services Monday through Friday for 6 hours each day, during which staff take him into the community for activities and support.
This position provides non-taxable income and is paid at a daily rate.
