Michael Lecy, LMFT:
- Michael Lecy is a licensed marriage and family therapist and the founder of The Thresholds, an independent practice based in Oklahoma City. His work sits at the intersection of clinical psychology and spiritual deconstruction — helping people rebuild a sense of self, meaning, and trust after harm done in the name of religion. Through his platform, Michael writes and teaches on the psychological patterns underneath high-control religious systems, drawing on Jungian frameworks to help people name what happened to them and reclaim what was taken. He speaks openly about institutional betrayal and spiritual abuse, and has built a following of thousands who turn to his work for language, clarity, and permission to heal. Michael brings both clinical grounding and lived understanding to this work — offering not just frameworks for recovery, but a steady, honest presence for people rebuilding faith in themselves after their faith in an institution broke.
Brooke Larimore, LPC:
- Brooke Larimore, LPC, is a therapist and community builder based in Norman, Oklahoma, specializing in helping individuals heal from religious trauma and reclaim their sense of safety, belonging, and self-trust. With years of experience supporting survivors of high-control faith systems, Brooke brings a grounded, compassionate, and trauma-informed approach to therapy. She’s passionate about guiding clients through the unlearning process—making sense of what was once unquestioned, and creating room for authentic connection and joy.
Beyond her clinical work, Brooke founded the Oklahoma Religious Trauma Network, a growing collective that connects survivors, therapists, and advocates through resources, education, and community events. Her work is rooted in the belief that healing from spiritual abuse is both deeply personal and profoundly communal.
