🪿 Honks had a quite week!

After spending the previous weekend conquering a muddy adventure at the Mud Run, Honks was ready for a different kind of journey—getting to spend some time with Angel, this month’s recipient of Honks.

Angel has been part of the Anthem family nearly from the start, and her impact can be felt throughout our team and the patients and families we serve. She wears many hats, offers a listening ear whenever it’s needed, and seems to have a lifetime of wisdom and advice to share. Her compassion, dedication, and hard work make her a treasured member of our Anthem family.

As Honks settles in with Angel, we’re excited to see the people, places, and moments they’ll encounter together. If the past is any indication, there are sure to be plenty of stories filled with kindness, laughter, teamwork, and compassionate care.

Congratulations, Angel! We are grateful for all you do and look forward to following along on Honks’ adventures with you. 💙🪿

🪿 The Adventures of Honks — New Teammate Edition 💙

Honks had quite the weekend!

First, there was a muddy adventure as Honks joined in on a Mud Run and proudly celebrated a finisher’s medal. We can’t say for sure how much running Honks actually did, but we suspect there was a lot of supervising involved. 🏅

Then came an even bigger day yesterday…

Honks met Angel.

Angel is a long-time Anthem nurse who wears many hats and wears them all exceptionally well. She is always available with a listening ear, a lifetime of wisdom and advice, and a heart full of compassion for patients, families, and teammates alike.

Hard-working, dedicated, dependable, and kind, Angel represents so much of what Anthem Hospice is all about. Whether she’s supporting patients, helping a coworker, or sharing her knowledge, she makes a difference everywhere she goes.

We know Honks is going to witness some truly grand things during his time with Angel. He couldn’t ask for a better guide as he continues his adventures through the Anthem family.

Welcome to the next chapter, Honks. We can’t wait to see where the journey with Angel leads.

Today, Anthem Hospice pauses to honor and remember the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country.

Memorial Day is more than a long weekend or the start of summer — it is a time to reflect on sacrifice, courage, and the freedoms we enjoy because of those who served and never returned home.

We also hold close the families carrying the weight of loss, the memories shared around tables, and the loved ones forever missed but never forgotten. Their stories continue to live on in the hearts of those who love them.

At Anthem Hospice, we are reminded daily of the importance of honoring life, cherishing memories, and walking beside families through moments of remembrance and reflection.

Today, we remember the heroes.
Today, we honor the sacrifice.
Today, we give thanks. ❤️🤍💙

💜 Alzheimer’s Walk 2026 💜

Have you ever participated in an Alzheimer’s Walk… or thought about joining one?

This October, Anthem Hospice will be walking for memories and honking for hope with our team, the Anthem Hospice Honkers. 🪿💜

Alzheimer’s disease impacts so many individuals, families, caregivers, friends, and communities. Events like the Walk to End Alzheimer’s remind us that no one walks this journey alone. Every step helps raise awareness, honor loved ones, support caregivers, and fund research for a future without Alzheimer’s.

🪿 The Adventures of Honks — This Week’s Update

Honks had a VERY busy week.
Honestly… we’re all just trying to keep up at this point

This week included:
🪿 Attending community events with Anthem Hospice
🪿 Supervising raffle baskets and candy bowls (strictly for quality control)
🪿 Riding in style as official emotional support copilot
🪿 Helping study because apparently Honks believes sleep is optional
🪿 Inspecting medical supply runs like a tiny feathered inventory manager
🪿 Meeting what may or may not have been his long-lost glamorous goose relative 👀
🪿 Watching over cinnamon roll production because somebody has to make sure enough icing is applied

Somewhere between hospice events, daily life chaos, studying, errands, and baked goods… Honks keeps showing up front and center reminding us that joy can exist in the middle of busy days.

And honestly?
That’s kind of the point 💙

At Anthem Hospice, compassion isn’t only found in the serious moments.
Sometimes it’s found in laughter, tiny traditions, shared stories, random goose appearances, and the small things that help people smile through hard weeks.

Today, Anthem Hospice honors mothers of every kind — biological mothers, bonus moms, grandmothers, caregivers, chosen family, and the women who stepped in when love was needed most.

We are privileged to witness the incredible strength, tenderness, wisdom, and devotion that mothers carry throughout every stage of life. Even in life’s most difficult moments, a mother’s love continues to bring peace, comfort, and connection.

To those celebrating with their mothers, holding cherished memories close, or missing someone deeply today — we hold space for you all.

The Adventures of Honks

Honks is always front and center.
Sometimes things go our way… and sometimes, well… they absolutely do not 😅

This week included unexpected car trouble, learning experiences, roadside problem solving, and a reminder that good people still show up when needed most.

Thankfully, some very mechanically inclined citizens stepped in to help save the day — and of course they were formally introduced to Honks 🪿

Because honestly, if you’re helping us survive the chaos, you’re probably going to meet the goose.

One thing we love about life, work, and community is this:
people step up for each other.
Whether it’s in hospice care, daily life, or a random parking lot/roadside moment… kindness matters.

Honks spent the week:
🪿 Supervising repairs
🪿 Riding shotgun through the chaos
🪿 Meeting new friends
🪿 Remaining emotionally supportive while contributing absolutely nothing mechanical

10/10 morale booster though 💙
