Took a quick stroll around the park this morning with my daughter. This was my first bit of physical activity since my 2nd kidney transplant. Although it was hot we walked for about 40 minutes with a shade 🌳 break or two. Of course we made sure to hydrate before we left and once we returned home! 💧

At 34, preeclampsia led to kidney failure and changed my life forever. After dialysis, two kidney transplants, and countless lessons in resilience, I created “𝕂𝕚𝕕𝕟𝕖𝕪 ℂ𝕦𝕝𝕥𝕦𝕣𝕖” to educate, advocate, and empower people affected by kidney disease through real stories, resources, and hope. My mission is to make kidney health conversations accessible, relatable, and culturally relevant while helping patients and families navigate their journey with confidence and support, because no one should have to navigate this journey alone.

Transparency Post:
I received a kidney transplant in 2017 after two strenuous years of dialysis. That kidney kept me strong and healthy for almost 9 years. In those years, I got engaged, married, traveled, saw friends get married, celebrated 8 more birthdays, enjoyed seeing my children grow and hit milestones (my son graduating high school) and many more wonderful times I might not have experienced without that second chance. Unfortunately, my transplant started failing in 2025. By God’s grace, I was put on the transplant list and didn’t have to wait long before kidney call 2 came through. On March 4, 2026 I received my 2nd kidney miracle and I’m so elated to have more time and healthy years. I don’t take any of it for granted. Thank you to my donor family for choosing to be an organ donor. Thank you for my medical team that have shown me kindness and support throughout this process. Thank you to my beautiful children and friends for always encouraging me and Thank you to my husband for drying my tears of sadness and worry, for always making sure I kept my head held high and remained grounded in the difficult moments.
