An absolutely fulfilling weekend spent with incredible humans at the 🏍️ women’s motorcycle retreat.

So impressed with the kindness and badassery of everyone who rode from near and far from Idaho, Montana, Portland, Canada and Australia!

We met so many people and saw some familiar Olympia locals and ❤️

✨ Special thanks to the incredible team who dedicate their time and energy organizing this event and trusted us with providing this modality of care 🙏🏼

This was our first Dream Roll and looking forward to many more!

The best moments in sauna are captured in stillness, within the space between cycles of hot and cold, the pause with friends.

In Japanese culture, this philosophical concept of between-ness is called “ma”.

This, like sauna, is viewed as a vital part of life that prevents burnout and restores clarity in mind and body.

More ma. More sauna.

Three day Venik intensive training was amazing.

A venik is a traditional bundle of leafy tree branches 🌿 used in a Russian banya (steam bath) for massage, boosting blood flow, and aromatherapy.

Day 2 involved a 4-5 hour stretch with back-to-back whisking (giving and receiving treatments as well as observing in Banya).

Needless to say, it was a sweaty marathon and I got lost in the sauce. But a whole day in sauna is a good day!

A whole weekend of community building, learning, discussing multi-culture sauna practices while making new friends and sharing stories, food, and laughs…that’s top-shelf memory stuff 💗 😅 ☺️ 💗

Thank you to our whisking masters, Alexey Go Banya • Mobile Slavic Sauna and Dustin Dustin and to Mel Steam Gardens Speakeasy Sauna and the whole sauna fam for making this happen.

I walked away with a new skill, new friends, an expanded and authentically aligned community and a full heart.

Tempo Sauna materialized from my journey service through mental health advocacy in art - like the “You Are Not Alone” mural on , holding space for marginalized populations experiencing crises with , and a through passion for gathering and connecting people in spaces where people can be their authentic selves.

Now, I show up for my community with a modality of care that saved my life. Sauna is just the container that allows me to do it.

Above anything, I’m excited to leverage Tempo Sauna as a platform for good and am looking forward to continuing my contribution to our community through sauna.

Wellness is relational, it doesn’t happen alone. It’s why, at Tempo Sauna, we call it “us-care”. ❤️
