It’s Community Health Worker Week Y’all!

This last week of August is dedicated to the folks who help make health care more accessible and community-centered.

They are trusted members of our community. They bridge the gap between health and social services by providing health education, connecting people to resources, navigating systems, and offering ongoing support to address the social drivers of health.

They’re our outreach workers, patient navigators, doulas and health promoters. Whatever the title, their impact is invaluable.

They listen.
They connect.
They advocate.
They empower.
They build trust.

For the fourth year, we’ll gather at the Nebraska State Capitol in Lincoln for the Governor’s proclamation signing of Stillbirth Prevention and Awareness Day, and I would love for you to join us.

Families who have experienced stillbirth are invited to stand with us during the signing.
Whether you have personally experienced stillbirth or simply want to stand beside families who have, your voice and your presence matter.

We’re wrapping up our summer workshop series hosted by The Sunny Side Foundation with a beautiful “Build a Bouquet” workshop. 🌸

Join us for our monthly HELD meeting and spend the evening creating your own beautiful bouquet to take home while enjoying a time of connection, creativity, and community. 💕

💗💙 Your baby’s name deserves to be remembered.

On Saturday, September 19 at 7:30 p.m., we’ll gather beneath the illuminated Bob Kerrey Pedestrian Bridge for our Bridge to Prevention: Moment of Remembrance for National Stillbirth Prevention and Awareness Day .

As part of the evening, we will read aloud the names of babies whose families are carrying their love and memory. We want to make space for every baby and every family who wants to be part of this special remembrance.

Nebraska will once again come together to recognize National Stillbirth Prevention and Awareness Day with a special proclamation signing ceremony at the Nebraska State Capitol in Lincoln.
