Thrivival Academy has partnered with Lemonade Day Omaha to bring middle & high schoolers (ages 13-18) a chance to build a REAL business, from the idea, to the branding, to selling it live at a Market Showcase on October 3rd-4th!

I’m excited and grateful for the opportunity to present alongside one of my best friends and mentors, Diane from 180 RAP. Her guidance, dedication, and passion for helping others have had a tremendous impact on me, and it’s an honor to share this experience together. A huge thank you to the Don C. Scott Family Foundation for providing Different Approach with a transportation resource that is already making a tremendous impact in the lives of the individuals we serve.

In just 30 days of utilizing the program van, we have seen meaningful changes. Clients are now able to consistently access critical services, including Metro 180 RAP programming, AA and NA meetings, drug testing appointments, employment opportunities, and other positive community-based activities that support long-term recovery and successful reentry.

One of the most rewarding milestones we’ve witnessed is several clients obtaining their driver’s licenses. One client shared that it had been 25 years since he last held a valid driver’s license—a moment that represented much more than driving privileges; it represented independence, dignity, and a fresh start.

Transportation is often one of the biggest barriers facing individuals in recovery and reentry. Thanks to the generosity of the Don C. Scott Family Foundation, that barrier is being removed for many of the people we serve.

We are incredibly grateful for your investment in our mission and the people we support every day. We look forward to continuing to demonstrate the life-changing impact of your foundation’s commitment to our community.
