Our baby Puma ❤️ I finally brought him in our home, rescued from the streets on a first frost very cold November night…just arrived back to town from my dear friend Rob Buchert’s funeral. It’s as if Rob graced us with this beautiful baby.
And he became family almost instantly.
As a matter of fact, he actually made the fullness of the family.
For the first time, everyone gets along. An occasional swat or hiss is the extent of it. Otherwise, they play and eat together, and run after eachother. Each taking their turn in kitty frolic.
And now he wants to. Go outside. I want him safe inside but he yearns for it, especially after his big sister has backyard rights.
So I’ve completed a full fencing that seems to be working and only partially mow while I leave a little jungle of high grasses and weeds for them to play, cool down and have adventures in.
I keep a coat and leash on him and am always out there with him. He’s happy for the outdoors albeit it limited. He probably smells or remembers the mouse hunting he used to do in the next door yard. And might forget having to find shelter on his own during bad weather.
And when he comes in he gets quite well fed. Not organic but human grade and raw (and expensive!). He climbs on my lap at night. Play fights with his brother Max and wakes up in the morning lying on my chest.
He truly is a gift from Rob. (Happy heavenly Birthday, ). Thank you
