We have some exciting news to share!

The GLACLP Scholarship Committee will be offering scholarships for the annual GLACLP conference in October! This year, we will offer 2 student/CLA scholarships at $200 each and 2 professional scholarships at $400 each to financially assist our members in attending the annual GLACLP regional conference (registration, lodging, travel, etc.).

Meet Jenniel, one of the recipients of our Summer 2026 GLACLP Internship Scholarship!☀

"My name is Jenniel Yaa Adubea Asare. Originally from Ghana, I am currently completing my master’s degree in Family and Consumer Sciences with a major in the Child Life Track at Western Michigan University. I recently began my internship with the Child Life Department (Child and Family Team) at C.S. Mott Children's Hospital. Through my experiences supporting children and families in both healthcare and community settings, I have developed a strong passion for providing emotional support, advocacy, and compassionate family-centered care.

Receiving the GLACLP scholarship is an incredible support as I complete my graduate education and gain clinical experience through my internship. These funds will help ease financial responsibilities related to educational expenses, internship costs, professional development, and future certification preparation. As an international student from Ghana, this scholarship provides both financial support and meaningful encouragement as I strive to make a positive impact in the lives of children and families.

I am sincerely grateful for GLACLP’s investment in aspiring professionals like me."
