*P.S. Don’t mind Chevy playing in the background 😂*

Life gets busy. Between work, responsibilities, social media, family obligations, and everything happening around us, it’s easy to be physically present with the people we love without actually being present.

Intentional time is different.

It means putting down the phone, slowing down, having meaningful conversations, creating memories, checking in with the people you love—and also making space to reconnect with yourself.

Quality time with family and friends can strengthen relationships, increase your sense of connection, and remind you that you have a support system. And intentional time alone gives you an opportunity to reflect, recharge, understand your emotions, and simply enjoy your own company.

Your mental health needs connection AND solitude. 💛

Sometimes self-care looks like dinner with family. Sometimes it’s laughing with your friends. And sometimes it’s spending a quiet Saturday doing something you enjoy by yourself.

Don’t become so busy managing life that you forget to actually experience it.

Let’s wrap up our 10-part therapy series by clearing up some common misconceptions about therapy. Therapy isn’t someone telling you what to do, judging your choices, or magically fixing your problems. It’s a collaborative process designed to help you better understand yourself, develop healthier coping skills, and make meaningful changes in your life.

Thinking about starting therapy? Knowing what therapy IS—and what it ISN’T—can make taking that first step feel a little easier. 💚

Tips 6&7!

Many people avoid therapy because of myths they’ve heard. Let’s clear a few of them up.

Therapy is NOT:
❌ Someone telling you how to live your life.
❌ Just venting for an hour.
❌ Only for people in crisis.
❌ A place where you’ll be judged or criticized.
❌ A quick fix that solves everything in one session.
❌ About blaming your parents, partner, or past.
❌ A sign that you’re weak or “broken.”

Therapy IS:
✅ A safe, confidential space to process your thoughts and emotions.
✅ A place to learn practical coping skills and healthier ways of thinking.
✅ An opportunity to gain insight, improve relationships, and work toward your goals.
✅ An investment in your emotional and mental well-being.

You don’t have to wait until life falls apart to benefit from therapy. Many people come to therapy to build resilience, improve communication, navigate life transitions, reduce stress, and better understand themselves.

Happy Sunday family! No educational video today but I do want to remind you all to remember to cherish the smallest of moments on our lives and the people we call family and friends. They are so important to our mental health and continued development 🥰

We’ve all called a friend to vent after a long day—and that’s completely normal. Friends provide love, support, encouragement, and remind us that we’re not alone.

But therapy has a different purpose.

A therapist isn’t there to take sides or simply tell you what you want to hear. Therapy is a structured, evidence-based process that helps you identify patterns, challenge unhelpful thoughts, develop healthy coping skills, process difficult emotions, and create lasting change.

Friends offer support.
Therapy offers support + tools for growth.

The two aren’t in competition—they complement one another. Healthy friendships are valuable, and so is having a professional who can help you navigate life’s challenges from an objective perspective.

If you’ve been carrying the same stress, anxiety, relationship struggles, or life transitions for months—or even years—it may be time to move beyond venting and start healing.
