I’m meeting with Members of Congress this week to implore them to protect our critical school meal programs from proposed federal funding cuts. Together with colleagues from across the country, we urge Congress for more funding and to increase student access to healthy school meals.

Did you know? Schools receive just $4.50 in federal reimbursement for each free lunch served—but that has to cover EVERYTHING: nutritious food & milk, labor & staffing, supplies, equipment & operations.

The math doesn’t add up!

School nutrition programs are struggling to keep up with rising costs while still meeting strict nutrition standards.

I’m advocating with to urge Congress to increase school meal funding and ensure students get the meals they need to succeed.

Don’t leave a child wondering why Santa didn’t give them big expensive toys like he did for your child.

Be mindful of what your Santa brings.

Leave the rest from Mom and Dad.
