Guided Discovery wants to take a moment to celebrate Pastor Dorn as he begins his retirement!
We are incredibly grateful for the kindness and generosity he has shown Guided Discovery and the families we serve. He has welcomed us into the church space for so many special parts of our work — from our preschool group and social skills groups to caregiver engagement events, staff in-services, and celebrations.
Every time we have walked through the doors, Pastor Dorn has been welcoming, accommodating, encouraging, and positive. He has helped create a space where our clients, families, and team members have felt comfortable, supported, and part of a community.
We are so thankful for the opportunity to have shared this space and for the support he has given our mission of creating meaningful opportunities for children and families.
Pastor Dorn, you will truly be missed! We wish you and your family all the very best as you begin this next chapter. May retirement bring you plenty of time for family, new adventures, relaxation, and all of the things you enjoy. Congratulations on your retirement! 🎉

🎶A Little Music, A Lot of Discovery! 🎶

Our preschool group had special musical guests join us for a fun introduction to music and instruments! 🎵

Miss Kathy and Miss Pam shared their love and knowledge of music through demonstrations, singing, dancing, and opportunities for our little learners to explore including getting to try the harp themselves! 🪉✨

We love creating opportunities for children to discover new interests, build confidence, and experience learning through meaningful, hands-on experiences.

A very special thank you to Miss Kathy and Miss Pam for sharing your gifts with our Guided Discovery preschool friends! 💚

🎼 Have a child with a special interest in music? Keep an eye out for our upcoming Social Skills Group focused on special interests, where we’ll use what children LOVE as a pathway to connection, communication, and friendship!

💚 🔎Ending Summer with Learning, Connection & Celebration! 🔎💚

A huge thank you to Tammy Ross from The Sensory Club Neenah for joining us at last night’s Caregiver Engagement event! We loved learning more about how sensory integration supports the processing of environmental information and how important that can be in improving participation across all areas of life. She also shared information about the services available through The Sensory Club, and we’re grateful for the opportunity to connect our families with additional resources! 🌟

☀️We also had so much fun celebrating the end of summer together! 🎉

🙏Thank you to our hardworking teams for all you’ve done this summer, and to the families who trusted us and allowed Guided Discovery to be part of their summer. We are so grateful for the relationships, growth, learning, and memories we’ve shared! 🌈

🎪We are so proud to have been part of Carnival for a Cause! ❤️ We were honored to join the many agencies supporting families impacted by the recent tornadoes and to contribute raffle baskets to help support this important cause.

A huge thank you to the Guided Discovery staff (Amanda, Elizabeth, Eme & Sam) who were able to be there and represent us! We are so grateful for your time and willingness to give back. 💙

So impressed by Innovative Growth LLC, Autism Society Of The Fox Valley-ASFV & The Sensory Club Neenah and how quickly they pulled this together! Being an active part of our community and giving back is an important part of who we are at Guided Discovery! 🔎

🎪Thank you to those who donated to make Carnival for a Cause possible for families impacted by the recent tornado. Your generosity and support mean so much! 💙

A special shoutout to:
🎟️ Brooke Molitor, Elizabeth Smith & Lily Westphal for putting together the amazing raffle baskets!
🧽 Jennie for donating the much-needed cleaning supplies for families who need them.

One of Guided Discovery’s pillars is to be part of and give back to our community, and we are so grateful for the opportunity to come together and support our neighbors when they need it most. ❤️

🎪 Come see us at the Photo Booth this Saturday! We’d love to see you there!

Thank you for helping us make a difference! 💙

📸Our outfits may not make us picture perfect, but we coordinate where it counts.

When our team was told we would be taking a group photo, the only instruction was simple: "Show up as your most comfortable version of you."

Because that's the same philosophy we bring to our work every day.

We're a team of proud misfits—different personalities, different strengths, and different backgrounds. And we believe that's exactly what makes us stronger.

We don't expect our staff to be identical, and we don't ask them to hide who they are. We simply ask them to show up as the best version of themselves—bringing their unique skills to the children and families we serve.

And just as we don't expect our staff to fit a mold, we don't expect your child to either.

🔎At Guided Discovery, we celebrate individuality. We believe differences aren't something to fix—they're something to understand, support, and appreciate. Every child deserves to be seen for who they are, not who someone else thinks they should be.

Growth doesn't come from fitting in. It comes from being accepted, supported, and empowered to be yourself. 🌿
