Today was another good day to have a good day. ✨
A friend sent me a reminder yesterday morning that brought me right back to a statistic I shared months ago about how many bad mornings people average each year. It hit me so deeply: our brains are constantly rewiring based on where we place our focus (neuroplasticity). A single, repeated positive thought paired with intentional action can completely rewrite your reality.
Swinging in my yard swing, eating breakfast in the morning sun, I found myself diving into the deeper layers of healing. For decades, I was a chronic people-pleaser and over-giver, driven by childhood wounds of needing to feel seen, heard, and valued. But even after doing the heavy inner work, I realized something new:
I still love to over-give. I love to pour love, energy, and light into people. But there’s a crucial difference between over-giving from fear vs. over-giving from a healed heart.
Sometimes, when we rush in to rescue people or cushion their fall, we accidentally steal the exact lesson God designed for their growth. We aren’t meant to be everyone’s rescue boat or safety net we are meant to be the lighthouse. We shine the light, hold the space, and stay grounded without taking away their sacred journey of learning.
