KTVO visited Ottumwa Regional Health Center to interview our ER Director, Sam Haney, about the SANE (Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner) training that was held here on Wednesday, August 5.

Sam shared how this specialized training equips our nurses and staff with the skills to respond to sexual assault survivors with sensitivity, clinical expertise, and traumaโ€‘informed care.

Weโ€™re proud to support training that strengthens our teamโ€™s ability to provide safe, compassionate care during a patientโ€™s most vulnerable moments.

This training ensures our nurses and staff know how to care for sexual assault survivors โ€” providing medical support, reassurance, and dignity every step of the way.
