As Houston Therapy Services moves into this next season, I’m very excited to share some good news and introduce the newest member of our team, Kristen Millay, LPCA.

Kristen joins Houston Therapy Services as an experienced therapist who brings warmth, professionalism, and a thoughtful, grounded approach to her work with clients. She works with teens and adults and enjoys helping individuals navigate anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, relationship concerns, life transitions, self-esteem, and other emotional and behavioral challenges.

Kristen’s approach is supportive, compassionate, and individualized, with an emphasis on creating a space where clients feel comfortable, understood, and able to work toward meaningful change.

I am very intentional about the clinicians I bring into Houston Therapy Services, and I am excited for Kristen to become part of our practice and to begin serving individuals and families in our community.

Kristen is currently accepting new clients in our Owensboro office.

Happy birthday Haley!!

Happy Birthday to Haley!

Haley brings such a fun and creative energy to our office, but what stands out even more is the passion she has for the work she does.

I love hearing the giggles coming from the office when she is working with some of our littles, but I also love seeing the messages and updates from her adult clients about the progress they are making in their own journeys. It is so rewarding to watch Haley connect with her clients, advocate for them, support them through difficult moments, and celebrate their growth along the way.

She genuinely cares about the people she works with, and that shows in the relationships she builds and the encouragement she brings into the therapy room.

We are so glad to have Haley as part of Summer Bell Counseling and hope she has the best birthday!

We’re so thankful to have Lana as part of the Houston Therapy Services and Summer Bell Counseling team. She brings such a calm, thoughtful, and compassionate presence to the people she works with and has a way of helping others feel truly seen and understood.

She has been a wonderful addition to our team, and we’re grateful for everything she brings each day.

Growing Together

One of my favorite things about our team is that we never stop learning.

Today we spent time celebrating our clients’ progress, sharing interventions that have been successful in our sessions, and learning from one another. Our Targeted Case Managers also shared valuable community resources and ways they support clients outside of the therapy room.

What I love most is that every member of our team brings different strengths, experiences, and specialties. That allows us to thoughtfully connect each client with the therapist or case manager who is the best fit for their unique needs.

We laughed, shared ideas, enjoyed lunch together, celebrated birthdays, and left with new ways to better serve our clients. We truly love what we do.

Today we’re celebrating someone who has become an invaluable part of both Houston Therapy Services and Summer Bell Counseling. Danielle brings a wealth of knowledge, compassion, and community resources to the people she serves, and her dedication makes a difference every single day.

As an added bonus, she’s always up for a great conversation about the latest true crime documentary!

So excited about our newest addition!!!!!

I have been looking forward to sharing this announcement for a long time!

I am beyond excited to officially welcome Alyson Stallings to the Summer Bell Counseling team. I’ve wanted Alyson to join our team for what feels like forever, and I’m so grateful the timing finally worked out!

Alyson brings years of clinical experience providing compassionate, client-centered care in both school-based and outpatient settings. She has experience working with children, adolescents, and adults and utilizes a variety of evidence-based approaches, including Trauma-Informed Care, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Play Therapy, and other strengths-based interventions.

Alyson is passionate about meeting clients where they are, helping them recognize their strengths, and supporting them through life’s challenges in a safe, encouraging environment.

She is now accepting new clients and offers late afternoon, evening, and telehealth appointments, making counseling more accessible for individuals and families balancing work, school, and busy schedules. She will be part time with us as she continues her job as a school based therapist.

I have no doubt Alyson will be an incredible addition to our team and to the families we have the privilege of serving. I can’t wait for our community to get to know her and experience the compassionate, thoughtful care she provides.
