Today we were notified regarding an individual whose profile states that they are an employee of Shiawassee Health & Wellness/New Directions making statements that do not align with our mission and values. We wanted to inform the community that this individual is NOT an employee of Shiawassee Health & Wellness or New Directions.

The safety and well-being of our staff, the individuals we serve, and our community are our highest priorities. We take comments that could be perceived as threatening, hateful, or that promote violence very seriously. Shiawassee Health & Wellness will never tolerate staff members posting hateful or violent rhetoric online, as such behavior is inconsistent with our values and our commitment to providing safe, respectful, and compassionate care to all members of our community.

Such behavior is not tolerated on our social media platforms or in any environment connected to our organization. We are reviewing the comment and will take appropriate action in accordance with our social media guidelines.

We will continue to actively monitor our social media channels to help ensure a safe, respectful, and supportive environment for everyone. We appreciate community members who bring concerns to our attention and help us maintain a space that reflects our commitment to safety, dignity, inclusion, and respect for all.
