Meet Megan! She is going to be assisting with Kits & Cubs Nature Club!
Hi! My name is Megan.
Some of my fondest childhood memories are of playing with my Grandma and my siblings—finding special trees, getting intentionally lost in the woods, swimming, swinging, and pretty much anything that got me outdoors. Those experiences shaped my love for nature, wonder, and play in ways I’m still discovering today.
As an adult and now a mom to two adventurous, outdoor-loving kiddos of my own, I’ve only grown in my love of playing, connecting with nature, and, when the occasion is right, being downright silly. I believe there is so much wisdom, healing, and connection available to us through nature, movement, creativity, and simply giving ourselves permission to play.
My professional journey has always had children and the natural world woven through it. I began my career as a florist before spending five years as a summer camp counselor, and I also worked with children through the YMCA’s after-school programs during the school year. I spent several years independently working with families and their children, caring for them after school and throughout the summers. I filled our days with crafts, songs, adventures, snacks, play, and plenty of time outside.
My path has naturally led me into Reiki, sound healing, and embodiment work, where I’ve discovered how beautifully healing can intertwine with nature, animals, creativity, and play. I love creating experiences that engage the senses through nature-based crafts, writing, painting, exploration, and other hands-on ways of connecting with the world around us.
At the heart of my work is creating spaces that invite people—especially children—to slow down, get curious, feel connected, and simply be themselves. I believe some of the most meaningful moments can come through laughter, wonder, play, and the freedom to experience the world with all of our senses.
I’m so excited to bring a little bit of that magic, silliness, and love of nature into this space. 🌿✨
