For us and many yoga practitioners in the world today is an auspicious day. It is Guru Poornima, the day to celebrate, pay respects and offer our deepest gratitudes to our teachers. Those who point us to the right direction.
In a world that spins continuously, sometimes it seems that it turns so fast that we lose our touch with the reality and we feel lost. We feel so disoriented that we do not know what to do or which one is the way forward. We feel stuck, afraid, and hopeless.
Because of great yoga master like Sri TK Krishnamacharya, Sir TKV Desikachar, Chandra, and many other great teachers, we find our way back and are able to move forward towards the right direction.
They do not do this to gain recognition or fame, it is just simply because that is just their dharma (duty) as teachers. Always looking after their students, listening, observing and guiding them towards the light. They are like friends to us, sometimes like father or mother looking after their children, they are compassionate, kind, and non-judgmental. They are true teachers.
We also cannot forget, but remind ourselves that the ultimate teacher is within ourselves, in our hearts, right in the center of our chest. If we just sit quietly and observe attentively without any words or judgments, just watching with complete attention, in silence, we will also find guidance and it will be pointed to the right direction, towards a fulfilling life.
We from SAVYOGA offer our deepest gratitudes and bow with reverence and respect to all teachers.
Pranam 🙏
