We are going to be offering Group Therapy for Women with Sexual Hurts Axiom Counseling and Therapy Services, beginning in September. The group is most appropriate for women ages 18+. All forms of sexually based hurts will be cared for and participants will not be asked to divulge their personal stories during the group sessions. The sessions will incorporate material from Cognitive Behavior Therapy and trauma-informed neuroscience coupled with a Judeo-Christian Faith-based healing, Scripture driven process. Do you know an Educator/School staff member who is experiencing increased anxiety and stress as the school year comes back around? Managing the challenges of this unique profession demands specialized care from a provider who “gets it” and can speak the language of education. We have a couple different providers at Axiom Counseling and Therapy Services who can meet this need, including me! Boundaries are protection. You are allowed to set boundaries and be firm in them. Therapy can help provide a place to work out whether boundaries would be helpful in your situation, how to set them in relationships, to prepare for the possible outcomes of setting boundaries and enforcing them, and to process through the consequences (positive and negative) of having boundaries.
