Boundaries are protection. You are allowed to set boundaries and be firm in them. Therapy can help provide a place to work out whether boundaries would be helpful in your situation, how to set them in relationships, to prepare for the possible outcomes of setting boundaries and enforcing them, and to process through the consequences (positive and negative) of having boundaries.
