A new ASE offering for The Carolyn Barron Montessori School families!!

Very excited to meet new friends and see familiar faces!

Young Naturalists Club is a five week program for children curious about exploring the natural world. Participants will work with a Certified Master Forager, Project WILD & PLT instructor to develop the skills of a naturalist through nature journaling, themed observation & outdoor exploration.

Each week focuses on building a naturalist skill and features a local plant or animal species as we slow down, observe closely, and discover the ecological relationships all around us.

Hi, I'm Amanda!
A local mom, educator, and lifelong nature enthusiast with a passion for helping children learn about themselves and build meaningful relationships with the natural world.

My background includes certification as a Social-Emotional Learning Instructor through Breathe For Change, Naturalist Level I through the Forest School Teacher Institute, and educator certifications in Project WET, Project WILD, and Project Learning Tree. I'm also an upcoming graduate of the University of Georgia's Master Forager Program.

This club was created to offer children the opportunity to slow down, become more present, and develop the skills of a naturalist through guided outdoor exploration. We'll practice careful observation, ask thoughtful questions, and discover fascinating plants, animals, and their ecological relationships - found right here in our own communities.

My hope is to foster awareness, curiosity, stewardship, and a lifelong reverence for the natural world through connection and fun.
