We had fun learning all about Elvis during Elvis week. We learned a lot during Elvis Jeopardy and Thursday Trivia! We took a trip down memory lane, remembering all the things we either heard or read about him and his life.
*Did you know that he was only 22 years old when he bought Graceland? 🏡 *Did you know he was a black belt in Karate?🥋 *Did you know that he won 3 Grammy awards, and that they were all for Gospel music?📀 *Did you know he starred in over 31 movies?🎥*Did you know his favorite sandwich was peanut butter and banana?🥪

When Rita, one of our amazing CNA's took one of our donated puzzles home to complete, she was dissapointed that it was missing quite a few pieces. We surprised her with a brand new one of the same puzzle. She was so proud to bring and show us her completed and framed puzzle that she plans to hang on her wall at home. If anyone reading has any puzzles they would like to donate, we will be glad to put them to good use!🫶🧩

This months Dinner Club was "Arabian Nights". We are lucky enough to have a city nearby that was inspired by the Arabian Nights. The city of Opa-Locka just turned 100 years old. It features onion domes, minarets, vibrant colors and whimsical street names like Ali Baba Avenue, Sharazad Boulevard, Aladdin Street, and Sinbad Ave. 🕌
We enjoyed our Out & About adventure around Opa-Locka seeing the historic buildings. We were hoping to get to tour the museum but they weren't aware that we were there and knocking on the door, as it is by appointment only. We will try again sometime.
