🌙 While the world sleeps, a mother's body is still doing extraordinary work. 💙

It's 2:30 AM. She's exhausted. Her baby needs her. And behind the scenes, biology is doing something remarkable.

🔬 The science of nighttime milk production:

A study published in Neuroendocrinology found that prolactin—the hormone essential for breast milk production—follows a circadian rhythm during lactation, with peak levels most frequently occurring between 11 PM and 7 AM.

The researchers found significantly higher nighttime prolactin levels among the 20 lactating mothers studied.

At Boddie Balance™ Positioning Systems, we believe understanding maternal physiology is essential to designing better support for mothers who breastfeed and pump.
