At 73 years old, Vinnie enjoys traveling, tending her garden, visiting local farmers markets, and cooking the meals she loves. With support from her home health aide, Margaret, she continues doing the things that bring her joy.
This spring, Vinnie and Margaret cruised to the Bahamas and recently returned from the National Federation of the Blind Convention in Texas, where Vinnie connected with fellow advocates in the blind community.
After losing her vision at age 39, Vinnie has relied on home care to remain safe and independent. Margaret has been by her side for several years, helping her keep living the life she wants.
Vinnie is also an advocate for the home care community, sharing her story through Hearts for Homecare to raise awareness of how important access to quality home care is for people living with vision loss.
Her story is a reminder of why that access, and the people who advocate for it, matter so much. ❤️
