Trail Guide to Learning

This is not set in stone, this is just a guide. I would encourage the parent to do for the research for their own child.

Also these suggestions change when you apply learning disabilities or things like ADHD etc. So factor that in.

๐ŸŽ‰ Did you know you can create your own?
Personally I have found that it's best to consider what our child's natural learning style is, before we worry about a curriculum.

Traditional schooling, sitting at a desk, learning from a book, writing notes to memorize for a test...

These only work for certain types of learners, what happens to the rest?

They fall behind, they struggle, develop anxiety and frustration feeling like failures. Many fall through the cracks evidenced by poor grades and decent dropout rates in public school.

We are all unique. Why are we being forced into one funnel for learning that only fits a small percentage of the population?

Did you know there are 17 different methods of homeschooling? The traditional method is only one of them. (a large portion of the curriculums follow a traditional method).

Use Google or AI to pull up the 17 methods of homeschooling.
Then ask which types are best for your child based on their learning style. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Then make a curriculum for the week.

When we are given information in the way that we process and enjoy we are able to understand and retain at a higher level.๐ŸŽ‰

The Natural Learner put this together. ๐Ÿ˜‚ Great point!

Itโ€™s 2026. Can we stop with the โ€œkids have to go to school for socializationโ€ stuff? ๐Ÿ™„
