At Near the Woods, we believe healing is most meaningful when people feel safe, seen, and met where they are.
I'm excited to share that beginning August 3, 2026, Near the Woods will officially begin accepting new patients.
Near the Woods was created with a simple idea in mind: mental health care should meet people where they are; it should be personal, compassionate, and centered around the individual instead of their diagnosis. Every person carries a unique story, and meaningful care begins by taking the time to understand that story.
Unlike many traditional psychiatric practices, Near the Woods brings care directly to you. Rather than asking you to navigate the stress of another office visit, I conduct initial psychiatric evaluations in your own environment. Being in a familiar setting often allows for a more complete understanding of your strengths, challenges, and daily life, helping us work together to develop a thoughtful, individualized plan of care.
My practice serves children, adolescents, and adults (generally ages 5–60, with older adults considered on an individual basis). Follow-up appointments may be conducted through telehealth when clinically appropriate, allowing care to remain both flexible and accessible.
At this time, Near the Woods is a self-pay practice. As a veteran myself, I am currently working toward becoming a TRICARE provider and will share updates as additional insurance options become available.
If you or someone you know is seeking a thoughtful, individualized approach to psychiatric care I would be honored to connect with you.

Our website and dedicated phone number are coming soon, and I'll be sharing updates as they're available.
Thank you to everyone who has encouraged and supported this journey. Opening Near the Woods has been years in the making, and I'm grateful for the opportunity to serve this community.
Whether you're seeking support for yourself, your child, or a loved one, my hope is to create a place where healing can begin with understanding, trust, and genuine partnership.
Near the Woods
Meeting you where you are—because healing begins there.
