Last week I talked about kratom and 7-OH. This week I want to talk directly to the person who KNOWS they have a problem.
Maybe you read that post and thought:
S**t. That's me.
You started taking it for pain. Anxiety. Energy. Sleep. Maybe you were trying to stay away from something else.
But somewhere along the way, you stopped taking it because you wanted to…and started taking it because you had to.
You wake up needing it.
You plan your day around it.
You're spending way more money than you ever intended.
You've tried cutting back.
You've told yourself, “I'll quit after this package.”
Then you start feeling anxious, restless, achy, nauseated, exhausted or just plain miserable — and you take it again so you can function.
That's dependence. And I need you to know there is medical help for it.
This isn't just my opinion. Concentrated 7-OH acts on the same mu-opioid receptor involved with traditional opioids. The FDA now calls concentrated 7-OH a potent opioid, and published medical reports describe people developing tolerance, addiction and opioid-like withdrawal.
This has become serious enough that federal agencies have begun taking action specifically against concentrated and synthetic 7-OH products.
But here's the part I care about:
You don't have to wait for the government to fix this. And you don't have to figure out how to quit by yourself.
I've been treating patients struggling with kratom dependence and addiction for years.
I understand what withdrawal can look like.
I understand that many people didn't start taking this stuff because they wanted to get high.
And I'm not interested in judging how you got here.
I'm interested in helping you get out.
If kratom or 7-OH is controlling your life, come see me.
Let's assess what's happening, talk honestly about your use, and build a medically appropriate treatment plan.
Stop spending another week telling yourself you'll deal with it later.
