October is Liver Cancer Awareness Month. 💚 This month, we raise awareness about liver cancer, the importance of recognizing potential symptoms, and the role of early detection in improving outcomes. The City of Pharr Public Health Department will conduct mosquito spraying throughout residential neighborhoods, parks, city facilities, and public right-of-ways to help protect public health.
Spraying is scheduled for Monday, October 19, from 9pm. to 1am., weather permitting.
While deemed safe for public health, we still encourage the community to be indoors during spraying hours, keep doors and windows closed, bring pets indoors, and cover or store outdoor toys, utensils, pet food and water bowls.
El Departamento de Salud Pública de la Ciudad de Pharr llevará a cabo fumigación rutinaria contra mosquitos en colonias residenciales, parques, instalaciones de la ciudad y derechos de vía públicos para ayudar a proteger la salud pública.
La fumigación está programada para el lunes 19 de octubre, de 9p.m. a 1a.m., si el clima lo permite.
Aunque se considera seguro para la salud pública, se recomienda a los residentes evitar actividades al aire libre durante el horario de fumigación, mantener puertas y ventanas cerradas, resguardar a las mascotas en el interior y cubrir o guardar juguetes, utensilios y recipientes de comida y agua que se encuentren al aire libre.
