Home Physical Therapy treats many conditions common in children, including torticollis (“wry neck”), plagiocephaly (flat head syndrome), developmental delay, hypotonia (low muscle tone), cerebral palsy, genetic disorders, neurologic disorders, neuromuscular disorders, premature birth, autism spectrum disorder, sensory processing disorder, feeding disorders, fine motor delays, and toe walking. Our therapists are passionate about helping children achieve their full potential through play-based therapeutic activities and supporting their families at every step of the way. Stephanie has had the privilege of working across many settings in pediatric physical therapy, including early intervention, outpatient, NICU, inpatient pediatrics, aquatics, and school. She has worked at some of the area’s most respected institutions, including CHOP, St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children, and Christiana Care Health System. Stephanie has the personal experience of having a child born with torticollis and has a deep understanding and appreciation for physical therapy from the perspective of a parent. She understands how overwhelming it can be to have an infant who needs specialized physical therapy and appreciates the convenience of having these services provided in the comfort of your own home. Stephanie knows the importance of consistent, timely, quality care and how it impacts the progress a child can make in physical or occupational therapy, and therefore your child’s therapy will begin immediately and your child will see the same therapist at each visit. Do you think your child would benefit from a completely customized physical or occupational therapy program that is provided in the comfort of your own home? Contact us today!

Big news for our Play at Home PT families! 🎉

Starting Summer 2026, we’re excited to begin offering *myofunctional therapy* as part of our services!

Over the past 3 years, I’ve had the privilege of working closely with infants both before and after tongue tie releases. Through that experience, I saw just how important oral function is—not just for breast or bottle feeding, but for breathing, sleep, and overall development. That’s what inspired me to dive deeper into this specialty.

I recently completed a 9-week cohort program through the Academy of Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy (AOMT), and I’m so excited to bring this knowledge to the families we serve.

So what is myofunctional therapy?
It’s a gentle, play-based approach that focuses on improving the resting position, strength, and coordination of the tongue, lips, and mouth. These skills are essential for:
• Nasal breathing
• Healthy airway and better sleep
• Efficient eating and drinking
• Overall oral function and development

We’ll be working with children from birth through 10 years old, and because the body is so connected, sessions may also include posture and whole-body coordination and fascial release—something that fits perfectly with our physical therapy background.

If you’ve ever had concerns about your child’s feeding, mouth breathing, sleep quality, or oral development, this could be a great fit.

More details (including how to sign up!) coming soon—stay tuned! 💜

Wishing our community a happy and healthy 2026!

2025 was a big year for our practice. While it was our quietest year on social media, it was our busiest year yet! We saw over 2,400 visits, added 4 new therapists to our team, became corporate sponsors in the community, and won Favorite Therapy Program in the Family Favorite Awards!

I am so proud of our team and so thankful to our families and community for putting your trust in us to care for your little ones. We have some exciting things coming up in 2026 that I can’t wait to share very soon!

We had a lovely Play at Home PT holiday dinner at over the weekend, and the only picture I remembered to snap was of our menu (not even the food side 🤦🏻‍♀️😂). The food was delicious!

Not pictured: our amazing PT and OT team members, hugs, laughs, and supportive partners who make it all possible. I love getting the team together, as we rarely get to see each other due to the nature of our practice with going to our patient’s home for care. Wishing our team and wonderful community a joyful holiday season!
