Wondering what a vasectomy is actually like?

It's much simpler than most guys expect.

✔️ Eat breakfast and come to the office.
✔️ The procedure takes about 10 minutes.
✔️ Go home, ice the area, and take it easy for the rest of the day.
✔️ Shower the next morning and get back to most normal activities (just avoid heavy lifting, strenuous exercise, and ej*******on for one week).

One last—and very important—step: Get your post-vasectomy semen analysis after 3 months. It's the only way to confirm your vasectomy was successful.

If you and your wife know your family is complete, a vasectomy is one of the safest and most effective forms of permanent birth control.

And guys... let's be honest.

A vasectomy is not comparable to pregnancy, labor, and childbirth.

If she's carried the babies, delivered the babies, and you've both decided you're done having kids, this may be your chance to take one for the team.

✔️ Quick procedure
✔️ Minimal downtime
✔️ Highly effective

If you're thinking about a vasectomy but still have questions, I've got you covered.

Does March Madness bring a surge in vasectomies?

Despite the rumors... not in my practice.

The truth is, vasectomy recovery is usually straightforward. Most men spend the rest of the day relaxing with an ice pack, and by the next day they're back to normal activities—just avoiding heavy lifting, strenuous exercise, and ej*******on for one week.

Can a vasectomy cause low testosterone?

Short answer: No evidence says it does.

A vasectomy only blocks the vas deferens—it doesn't affect the testicles, where testosterone is made.

While some people claim there's a connection, research has not found a causal link between vasectomy and low testosterone.

Don't let internet myths keep you from making an informed decision.

A no-scalpel vasectomy uses surprisingly simple tools.

After the area is numbed, I use a small instrument to create a tiny opening in the skin and another to gently secure the vas deferens. No scalpel, no stitches, and no large incision.

Modern no-scalpel vasectomy is designed to minimize bleeding, dissection, and recovery time while remaining highly effective.

If you're considering a vasectomy, ask your doctor whether they perform the no-scalpel technique.

Most men aren't afraid of the vasectomy...

They're afraid of what they think will happen afterward.

❌ Will s*x feel different?
❌ Will my erections change?
❌ Will my or***ms be the same?

These are some of the biggest fears I hear—and they're often what keep men from even considering the procedure.

The good news? Those fears are usually based on myths, not reality.

One of the best ways to reduce the stigma around vasectomy? Just talk about it.

I appreciated this creator's approach: no pressure, no bravado—just a thoughtful explanation of why a vasectomy made sense for him and his family.

That's how real conversations change minds. Not by telling other men what they should do, but by sharing your own experience honestly.

If you're considering a vasectomy, don't let fear or myths make the decision for you. Get the facts first.

Stage 4 prostate cancer means the disease has spread beyond the prostate—often to lymph nodes, bones, or other organs.

While it’s not considered curable at that stage, it is treatable, and treatments have improved significantly in the last 15 years with multiple therapy options available.

The key takeaway: many cases are preventable from progressing this far with early screening using PSA testing and a physical exam.

I break it down in my No BS Newsletter. Link in bio.

Why do men and women often respond to stress differently?

In men, stress can increase cortisol and drive a stronger desire for reward-seeking behaviors like s*x, tied to dopamine and testosterone pathways.

In women, stress more often suppresses s*xual desire.

Different biology, different response.

More in my No BS Newsletter. Link in bio.

Yes, a vasectomy can be reversed—but it’s not meant to be.

It’s designed as permanent birth control, and most men go into it with that understanding. Reversals do happen in specific situations, but fertility is never guaranteed after one.

That’s why the decision matters up front.
