Skin cancer is the most common cancer in the United States, and melanoma remains the deadliest form. ☀️
Dr. Suephy Chen, Chief of Dermatology Services at Jefferson Abington Hospital, is encouraging people to take sun protection seriously and pay attention to changes in their skin. Tanning and repeated sun exposure can lead to skin damage that may not appear until years later.
Early detection can make a major difference. Regular skin checks are especially important for anyone with a history of sun exposure, tanning or a family history of melanoma.
