The people in our lives influence our mental well being. Licensed Marriage and Family therapists (LMFTs) are mental health professionals who work with individuals, couples and families. LMFTs believe that an individual's emotional challenges can be better treated when understood within the context of their past or present relationships. Dr. Erica Wilkins has received over 3,600 hours of supervised

clinical work experience. She is a clinical assistant professor who trains masters and doctoral level couple and family therapy students. Dr. Wilkins is the recipient of numerous awards and is a published author who has presented locally, nationally, and internationally.

I've spent a lot of my career writing for journals and professors, but my heart has always been with the community. When I think back to my Master's application, I realize that this has been part of the plan from the start.

I didn't get those degrees to keep the secrets of wellness in an ivory tower. I got them so I could empower you with them.

This is my first experience of bringing my clinical and academic background directly to the people-- making the complex "simple," and the "inaccessible" available to everyone.
