DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy) is both a structured, evidence-based treatment model and a set of incredibly useful skills.

Here’s the quick breakdown:

DBT-informed care – You weave DBT concepts or skills into sessions. Flexible, adaptive, and effective for many clients.
Full DBT program – A comprehensive model with individual therapy, skills group, consultation team, and phone coaching.

Both have value — but using the right term helps clients find the level of support they need, and it protects the integrity of the model we’re using.
