ADULT PLAY THERAPY?! Yes!

Play Your Way to Your Thirties
November/December
6 Mondays, 6:30-8:00pm

Join Julia Weimer, LPC, for a young adult play therapy group, starting this November. The group offers you a chance to use creative expression for healing and will include play, art, and movement. The group core model emphasizes the importance of play as a huge part of humanity and a form of language. Using play and creative expression enhances self-expression and allows room for discovery and deeper feelings to come to surface.

During each of the six week sessions, you will learn a different tool for exploring self-worth and discovering more about who you are!

Welcome DeAnna Meckling-Peruto to the Resiliency Center's Schwenksville office!

DeAnna Meckling-Peruto, LPC, is a Licensed Professional Counselor dedicated to providing compassionate, person-centered counseling services to diverse clients with trauma, anxiety, depression, ADHD, autism, grief, life transitions, and attachment ruptures.

She has specialized training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), nature-based therapy, and play therapy. Her background includes working at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, where she provided counseling services to youth in the Community Violence and Trauma Support Program.

A huge thanks to Vanessa Mortillo, who is guiding us through this month discussing play therapy and other types family therapy that we offer here at the Resiliency Center.

Vanessa believes that therapy should be as fun, collaborative, and easily accessible. Utilizing mindfulness, expressive arts, and play therapy modalities, she harnesses creativity and imagination in the service of growth and healing.
