Had to go on antibiotics and worried about your gut health?

Here’s what to do:

First… if you genuinely need antibiotics, don’t be a fool and not take them. Antibiotics can be life saving and I’ve seen too many people try to fight real serious infection “naturally” and they end up pretty sick.

And if you need them, that is OK! (Also want to make sure we aren’t just taking them for any little sniffle)

Depending on if we know what your underlying gut microbiome looks like before antibiotics, we may recommend a probiotic supplement to help replenish what was wiped out. I have also seen people who already have way too heavily populated levels of bacteria(both good and bad) so we don’t always need to give a probiotic.

Something we can all do regardless of wha our gut environment looks like is intentionally focus on lot of probiotic rich foods. Yogurt, kefir, sauerkraut, etc. my two favorites for the sake of ease and taste to recommend are cocojune yogurt and kefir. Both have a high amount of probiotics in a serving.

Are elimination diets the holy grail answer? Read below⬇️

I’ve been there…

Searching high and low for the perfect “diet” to fix your gut.

❌But there’s one common problem with this approach — changing your diet doesn’t give us the ROOT cause contributing to your symptoms. It’s deeper than a food intolerance.

Your gut is screaming for help🆘

Although your intentions are good & you might find some short term relief, elimination diets can actually be doing more harm to your gut.

👉a diverse diet means a diverse gut microbiome which is crucial for maintaining a healthy gut!

👉some popular diets exclude foods that are actually sources of key nutrients leading to a negative impact on your gut.

👉not to mention prolonged avoidance of foods can sometimes lead to more sensitivities when you reintroduce those food groups.

It’s also important to shed light at the stress restriction can put on us. This stress alone can be a trigger for gut flares!

What I realized after removing just about everything from my diet👇

I got temporary relief BUT the bloating always crept its way back in.

I was at my wits end, feeling like I tried it ALL.

It wasn’t until I stepped away from the conventional approach and changed my mindset that made a world of a difference.

I realized👉 food is NOT the problem.

Food was my body’s way of telling me something was OFF underneath the surface. I worked with a health coach to dig down deeper at my lifestyle, stress, trauma and GUT HEALTH.

Paired that with comprehensive stool testing and this was like nothing I had ever done before🙌😊

BUT I am here to tell you that making some small lifestyle changes can have a BIG impact on how you feel overall.

Instead of getting overwhelmed, start with these 4 tips to transform your gut health⬇️

1️⃣Eat the rainbow: include at least 2 veggies/ fruit on the plate. The diversity ensures a wider range of nutrients🥗

2️⃣Meal timing: Avoid snacking throughout the day and focus on high protein intake. Spacing meals out every 3-4 hours is key to giving your body enough time to digest. ⏱️

3️⃣Breathwork: take 5 deep breaths before starting each meal. This activates your “rest and digest” state and prepares your body for food intake.🧘‍♀️

4️⃣Daily Movement: Regular physical activity can enhance digestion and improve elimination. You don’t have to overcomplicate it, even a walk after meals can do wonders for your body! 🚶‍♀️
