“Go next door and call 911.”

Those words changed the course of Dr. Paul Lynch’s life.

At just 9 years old, Dr. Lynch received a frantic note from his father, a therapist, asking him to get help while he stayed on the phone with a patient in crisis.

With the urgency of the moment and a child’s imagination fueled by the Mission: Impossible theme song, he ran to the neighbors. Together, they called 911, emergency responders arrived, and a life was saved.

That experience inspired Dr. Lynch to follow his father’s path into psychiatry. While his journey eventually led him to become an anesthesiologist, pain physician, and Founder & CEO of US Pain Care, one thing never changed:

A commitment to helping people through their most difficult moments.

For more than 40 years, Dr. Lynch has dedicated his career to one mission: improving lives through compassionate, innovative pain care.

At US Pain Care, saving lives is more than our mission. It is the reason we exist.

After spine surgery left him with ongoing pain and limited mobility, one patient came to Dr. Zach Cohen, a member of the US Pain Care Medical Advisory Board, looking for answers and a path forward.

After reviewing his MRI and discussing his history, Dr. Cohen explained that recovery would take time, but reassured him:

“Don’t worry. We will get you to where you want to be.”

Nine months later, the patient was back to doing what he loved: picking up his grandchildren, playing golf, and safely reducing his pain medications with his care team’s support.

“I’ve seen many pain doctors before, but Dr. Cohen is different. He doesn’t want patients sitting idle in pain. He wants to help them move forward.”

We are proud to have physician leaders like Dr. Cohen on our Medical Advisory Board, advancing patient-centered pain care focused on restoring function and quality of life.

If AI is already changing how we work, the bigger question is: what does that actually look like inside a pain practice?

On September 1, Dr. Paul Lynch, MD will join Usman Latif, MD, Hemant Kalia, MD MPH FIPP, and Ryan Budwany, MD MBA MPH for a virtual panel on how AI can help physicians manage, operate, and grow their practices, with a focus on real-world applications, not just the hype around AI.

If you’re a physician or practice leader curious about where AI actually fits into your day-to-day work, this is a conversation worth joining.

Pain is rarely simple. Most of the time, there is more than one factor contributing to it.

At U.S. Pain Care, specialized treatment means taking time to understand those layers before deciding on a plan.

Depending on the patient, care may include:
• Targeted interventional procedures
• Neuromodulation when nerve pain is involved
• Physical therapy to restore movement and strength
• Behavioral health support for the emotional impact of pain
• Addiction and substance use care when needed

The goal is simple: understand what is driving the pain, then treat it in a way that actually fits the patient.

Condition: What Is Pelvic Pain?

Pelvic pain is a condition with many possible sources, often involving the nerves, muscles, joints, or internal organs working in a complex, interconnected region of the body.

That complexity is why it can feel different from person to person:
• Deep pressure or aching in the lower abdomen or pelvis
• Pain triggered by sitting, standing, or movement
• Discomfort that interferes with daily function
• Symptoms that persist without a clear single cause

Care begins with identifying the true source of pain and understanding how different systems may be contributing to it.

At US Pain Care, the focus is on thoughtful evaluation and targeted treatment strategies designed to restore function and improve quality of life.

Because when you find the source, you can treat the pain more effectively. Learn more at uspain.com
