Caffeine can absolutely help you push harder in the gym. But more isn’t always better.

Too much can come with a price:
✔️ more anxiety
✔️ worse sleep
✔️ worse recovery

And here’s the part most people miss: your genetics can influence how you respond to caffeine.

The goal? Find the dose that helps your performance without sabotaging your recovery.

Tag a gym buddy who lives on pre-workout.

Pain has a way of becoming the new normal.

The longer it sticks around, the easier it is to accept it as part of life.

But acceptance and recovery aren't the same thing.

PRP, prolotherapy, stem cells, exosomes, and peptides are all part of a growing regenerative medicine toolbox that may help support recovery when pain continues to linger.

Microplastics are everywhere. 🌎

You can't live in a plastic-free bubble, but you can support your body's natural detoxification pathways and build resilience to the exposures you can't avoid.

Supporting liver function, glutathione production, circulation, and recovery may help your body do what it was designed to do.

Most people assume more peptide equals more results. With growth hormone secretagogues, that's not always true.

Some patients develop antibodies specifically to CJC-1295 or tesamorelin, the GHRH-pathway peptides. When that happens, we don't force the combination. We shift to ipamorelin alone, working exclusively through the ghrelin pathway, and patients still get meaningful growth hormone stimulation and the sleep benefits, just without triggering an antibody response. It's a reminder that good protocols flex to the individual, not the other way around.

Curious whether a combination or single-peptide approach fits your goals? That's exactly what we sort out in a consult at my practice

The shoulder's greatest strength is also its greatest weakness: its incredible range of motion.

While this freedom offers unique mobility, it also brings less stability and a greater risk of shoulder issues.

Understanding how the joint is built helps explain why protecting it matters.

💪 The best injury prevention strategy probably isn't another stretching routine.

It's building a body that can handle what you ask it to do.

Strength. Function. Resilience.

Those are the things that help keep you in the game.

The goal isn't perfect mobility. It's being prepared for the demands of training.

We tend to think of aging as something that just happens to us, but melatonin tells a different story. It's not only the hormone behind sleep; it's the timekeeper for your body's entire repair schedule, the signal that tells your cells when to fix themselves. Your pineal gland ages right along with the rest of you, and by your 40s it's already slowing down. By your 60s, many people are running at just 20-30% of peak output. That decline isn't a side effect of aging, it may be one of its actual triggers. Worth asking: if your repair clock is running slower than it used to, what would it take to support it?

Don’t let the supplement marketing machine convince you that you need the “new and improved” version.

Creatine monohydrate is still the OG for a reason: it’s the most studied form, highly effective, and well absorbed.

Creatine HCl, ethyl ester, and the other fancy versions? So far, they haven’t shown a meaningful advantage over good ol’ monohydrate. 💪

Why can't we just Google peptide protocols? Because medicine isn't all about reciting numbers, it's about understanding the 'why' behind them. Patient metabolism, unique responses, and potential side effects are crucial. That's the human element AI can't replicate

Your MRI might not explain your back pain.

In this conversation with Dr. Stefi Cohen (steficohen), we discuss why low back pain is so common, why it's often difficult to pinpoint a single cause, and why imaging doesn't always provide the answers people expect.

Back pain is rarely as simple as one scan, one diagnosis, or one movement.
