I’ve been working on this myself lately—it’s so easy to focus on everything except your health. Life gets busy!

PEMF can be used preventatively or to help after an injury. A lot of people find PEMF the same way I did… when they’re desperate enough to try anything just to feel better.

I’m really grateful I get to be part of helping people feel better!❤️‍🩹

Over time, the body naturally changes with age, lifestyle, and accumulated habits, meaning health either becomes something you actively maintain through exercise, nutrition, and rest, or something you’re forced to deal with due to illness, pain, or fatigue.

Prioritizing health early is a proactive investment that helps preserve energy, mobility, and independence, while neglect often leads to reactive care that can be more difficult and limiting.

I keep hearing people say they feel stuck in their healing—like they’ve plateaued. Just waiting for the inflammation and tightness to finally go away weeks after surgery…

PEMF is great for supporting your body’s natural healing process, boosting circulation, and reducing inflammation.

Right after her first PEMF session, her scar tissue and inflammation loosened enough to be manually worked and moved. Her knee felt looser, she was able to walk more normally, and even tried steps! 🙌

We’re continuing with a few more sessions to support her healing… and because PEMF just feels really good 😊

The combination of PT and PEMF is helping people take their lives back quickly!

This client jumpstarted their healing and experienced an increased range of motion in their knee after just one session. After five more sessions, they gained 8 additional degrees of motion.
That’s a huge improvement in a short amount of time!

They’re getting back to doing the things they enjoy with less stiffness and better mobility.

It’s been a busy season, and as usual, Facebook isn’t always my top priority. I truly love the hands-on aspect of working with people and animals and helping them feel their best — that’s where my heart is.

I always have the intention to post more, and I even take the pictures… but finding the time (and motivation!) to sit down and post doesn’t always happen. I’d much rather be working directly with clients and focusing on the care and experience you receive.

Limbic Resonance in Horses and People

Limbic resonance is the phenomenon where the emotional nervous systems of two beings synchronize through nonverbal cues, including posture, breath, muscle tone, rhythm, and presence.

It occurs through the limbic system—the brain networks involved in:
• emotion
• threat detection
• attachment
• regulation

Horses

Horses are highly limbic-sensitive animals. As prey species, they continuously read:
• heart rate variability
• muscle tension
• breathing patterns
• micro-movements
• emotional congruence

They do not respond primarily to words or intention, but to state.

A regulated human nervous system can:
• calm a horse
• improve focus
• reduce guarding
• change movement quality

A dysregulated human can unintentionally:
• increase vigilance
• create tension
• disrupt coordination

People

Humans also experience limbic resonance, often unconsciously:
• between caregivers and children
• between therapists and clients
• between riders and horses

We “feel” another’s emotional state before we think about it.

Horse–Human Dyad

In horse–human interaction, limbic resonance explains why:
• calm hands can change posture
• quiet presence can soften movement
• tension travels through the lead rope or reins
• bodywork effects extend beyond tissue

The horse is not “reacting” — it is co-regulating.

Why This Matters in Bodywork & Training

Limbic resonance is the bridge between biomechanics and behavior.

When the nervous system feels safe:
• fascia softens
• movement becomes elastic
• coordination improves
• learning becomes possible

This is why skilled bodywork, thoughtful handling, and mindful riding can create changes that seem disproportionate to the physical input.

Takeaway

Limbic resonance is the silent conversation between horse and human nervous systems—where emotion, safety, and movement synchronize before thought ever enters the picture.

Client Horse Update 🐴

When I was first called out, this horse’s right front leg was significantly swollen from top to bottom, resembling a severe case of cellulitis. He was lame and unable to bear full weight on the leg. The owner had already spoken with the veterinarian, who planned to come out after the weekend.

First visit:
I worked on the horse by pulsing the body and the affected leg. I always pulse at the horse’s comfort level, carefully watching their body language. Later that evening, the leg began draining from the fetlock, which was an encouraging sign.

Second visit (1 day later):
I returned and pulsed again, and you could see the injury draining more as we worked. At this point, the horse was able to put his heel down more comfortably and bear more weight on the right front leg.

Veterinary follow-up:
The veterinarian came out, drained the leg, and it drained very well. The leg was then wrapped for continued care.

Ongoing support:
I continued working with the horse to support the overall body, helping relieve aches and pains caused by compensation patterns. I also focused on increasing blood flow to the fetlock area to support healing. The wound is healing quickly, and the horse is moving more comfortably.

I’ve worked with many horses dealing with cellulitis and abscesses, and it’s always amazing to see how much more quickly they heal.
