In Pittsburgh, bright and early for blood work and then an appointment with the whole transplant team for Shane. Hopefully, it's just a check-up, and we don't get any surprises. He's at that age where medication is getting difficult because he is struggling with the why, and how comes. It's an endless cycle and He's to young to truly understand what it could do. And if he does He's in the mindset that it doesn't matter because he doesn't have any friends, and no one would care if he wasn't around anymore. The struggle is real. So we will be talking to someone about these feelings again. I will keep you all posted. ❤️

This was day three of our trip. We went to Hollywood Studios at Disney World. In my opinion it was by far the best park to go to. We went to Star Wars Galaxys Edge and got to see the millennium falcon. Saw tons of really awesome stuff and the weather was finally not totally freezing and we didn't have to bundle up like we were at home.
We ended our evening at the wonderful Hollywood and Vine, where we had AMAZING food and got to eat with a few of our favorite characters. If you ever get a chance to go there, I highly suggest you take the opportunity. You will not be disappointed. Especially if you have little ones. I'm pretty sure that this was the highlight of Shane's night.
We had planned on going back over to the Magic Kingdom to watch the fireworks but everyone was getting sick by the end of the night.
Too many rides, ate too much good food or just purely exhausted, who knows but it was ok.
We were just happy to have the day that we had had and look forward to tomorrow.

Today was a VERY long day at Disney World today for Shane. We visited Animal Kingdom and then made it over to Epcot.
Shane got to see a real lion and it made his day. He also was able to ride his very first roller coaster in the Himalayas with Everest. So so much that we did and he was able to see.
We finished the day with the fireworks on the lake at Epcot and then went home and had some pizza and crashed.
All in all I'd have to say that it was a great first day at Disney World.

Yesterday was a very successful day 1 of Shane's make a wish trip. He wanted to go to Disney world for his wish. We have waited a long time through COVID, him not being well enough to go to finally get to go and most most recently mom finishing nursing school to go on this very special trip.
Everyone flew very well and shane got to meet the pilots of our plane to Orlando from Buffalo. They were great because the skies were not super friendly Yesterday afternoon. We had an amazing volunteer at the airport help us get all of our bags and our rental so we could get to where we are staying. Give Kids The World! It's so amazing here! They have everything! It's a amusement park in itself designed just for the kids. The kids are the boss here lol.
We originally wanted to go to SeaWorld yesterday but it was raining all afternoon and evening, so we opted to stay at Give Kids The World and check it out.
We had dinner and ice-cream and then checked out the spa. The girls were in their glory at the spa. Shane not so much, but he was a good sport. He got an awesome lion glitter tattoo. Then we stopped off to the store for a couple things and back to our gigantic villa we get to call home for the next week. It is going to be a long week.

Back in Pittsburgh again to see the neurologist today for Shane's migraines. He has suffered from migraines since transplant due to a side effect of his tacrolimis medication. Unfortunately it's one of his immunosuppressive medications and necessary for the rest of his life. So, the only thing we can do for him is try to manage the migraines 😕

Getting his kidney ultrasound now
And kidney transplant clinic a little later.
