Thirty days. One message that never gets old: people with aphasia deserve to be heard, included, and supported — every day of the year.

This month you showed up. You shared, you commented, and you participated in scavenger hunts, all of which we hope you'll keep in mind moving forward. 🧑‍💻

One thing that stayed with us: how willing this community is to show up, pay attention, and learn.

Aphasia Awareness Month may be ending — but the work continues. 📝

If you want to go deeper:

You found it. Aphasia-friendly design is EVERYWHERE. 🔍

Last week we challenged our community to find examples of supported communication design in everyday life — and you delivered.

From menus to road signs to Father's Day posts — these designs make communication more accessible for people with aphasia, and honestly, better for all of us. This is what inclusive design looks like in the real world.

Share this post with someone who designs spaces, menus, or any type of mass communications — they might be more impactful than they realize.

Thank you to all who participated!

Supported communication design is all around us — and it helps EVERYONE, not just people with aphasia.
Your mission this week: find one example (or more!) of visual or supported communication in your everyday life and share it in the comments, or tag us in your post/story.
We'll be rounding up some of your finds next week.

💬 Three words. So much meaning.

Last week, we asked our community to look at a photo and describe it with only 3 words. And you showed up!

What strikes us most? How much we can say with so few words — and how different every answer was, even looking at the same photo. That's the power of language. ✨

A small exercise with a big reminder: this is how people with aphasia navigate communication every day.

👏 Thank you for playing along — and for taking time to understand just a little more deeply what it means to "find the words."
