Why do the same fights keep coming back?

Because couples are usually not arguing about the dishes, the schedule, or the tone. They are bumping into the same trigger again and again.

One person feels unheard. The other feels criticized. The topic changes, but the pattern stays.

That is the part worth working on.

One small interruption can wreck your whole day when your routine has no backup plan.

For a lot of people with ADHD or anxiety, the problem is not the interruption itself. It is the fact that one missed step can throw off everything that comes after it.

A backup plan gives your day some flexibility. If the morning gets messy, you still know what happens next.

If this hits close to home, book a session.

Need therapy tools, not vague advice?

That’s what practical therapy looks like here.

We focus on the pattern, then build something you can actually use between sessions. CBT and psychoeducation help make the next step clearer, so you’re not just talking about the same problem again.

Direct. Supportive. Useful.

Anxiety can turn a simple decision into a full-blown debate in your head.

You replay every option, second-guess every instinct, and end up more stuck than when you started.

What usually helps is less thinking harder and more changing the process: smaller choices, clearer criteria, and a time limit on the decision.

If your brain keeps turning every yes or no into a tug-of-war, this is the kind of work we do.

Carrying everything in your head gets expensive fast.

You miss details, feel on edge, and spend way more energy trying to remember than doing the task.

A simple structure gives your brain somewhere to put things. That means less mental clutter and fewer late-night “I forgot something” moments.

More motivation is usually not the missing piece when your ADHD system keeps falling apart.

If the problem were motivation, you’d already be fine by now. What usually breaks is the setup: too much to hold in your head, no clear structure, and a plan that depends on you feeling organized on a perfect day.

That’s why practical support matters more than pep talks. You need tools for follow-through, not another push to try harder.

Do you both feel misunderstood?

One person is trying to explain. The other hears criticism.

That pattern shows up fast in couples with ADHD, anxiety, or a lot of stress. The fix usually starts with slowing the conversation down and naming the actual issue before it turns into blame.

If this sounds familiar, book a session.

Brain already full?

Cut the low-stakes stuff first. The extra tabs, the half-finished tasks, the message you keep rewriting, the thing you only feel guilty about. Freeing up a little mental space makes the rest of the day feel less impossible.

If this is your normal, therapy can help you get more room back.

Sometimes your stress needs a boundary, not a breakthrough.

If your plate is too full, a shorter list can help more than another plan. If the problem is that everything keeps bleeding into everything else, the answer is usually clearer limits.

A good rule: if you feel resentful, you may need a boundary. If you feel stuck, you may need a plan. If you feel scattered, you may need fewer tasks.

Stop making every small choice feel huge.

Anxiety can turn tiny decisions into full-blown emergencies. The fix is usually less about getting more certainty and more about stopping the habits that feed the spiral.

That means no endless re-checking, no asking five people for reassurance, and no treating every option like it has to be perfect.

Try choosing once, then moving on.

Save this for the next overthinking loop.
