Our Relay for Life team is being formed in memory of a beloved colleague, friend, mother, sister, mentor and more, Judi Stillwell. Judi was suddenly diagnosed with Brain cancer, October 31, 2012. Through her battle to stay “Still-Well", each day she focused on keeping the balance of life, with her unwavering positive attitude and hope. She carried a heartfelt passion and concern for others, never
letting her joy for life slip away. Judi did her best to to reclaim her life each and everyday. In August 2013, Judi and her beautiful daughter Sheryl were able to make their journey back to Judi's home state of New Jersey to reunite with her lovely Sister Debbie. As Judi settled in her new surroundings she continued the fight. She underwent a second surgery, but the cancer continued to progress, and sadly to say she recently lost her battle, on January 19, 2014, as God called her home. So in our commitment to find a cure for cancer and in honor of Judi we would like to show our support by taking this opportunity to step into her shoes. We will walk this path in her memory for one day to symbolize the daily battle she had lived. Our team will fundraise in helping Relay for Life and the American Cancer Society find a cure for Cancer, and make the lives of those who are suffering, just a little easier. We encourage you to participate in any capacity you are willing and/or able to. Please join our team committee, support our upcoming fundraising events, sign-up to walk during the event, work a booth, donate and/or raise funds, or all of the above. Ultimately, our end goal is to raise at least $8,000 to help find a cure for and fight to prevent this terrible disease. We recognize that many individuals have been affected by Cancer and that; you too, may have personal heart-warming stories to champion. We hope you join our team, share your stories, reasons, hopes and strengths with us, and unite in the fight to find a cure. Please join us sharing Judi’s slogan of promoting “Still-Well” and “Keeping the Balance”. With hope for a cure,
Team Still-Well
