Sometimes growth doesn’t look like gaining people.
Sometimes it looks like losing the people who only benefited from the version of you that never said no.
The version of me that overextended, people-pleased, stayed silent, and carried everyone else’s burdens was familiar to many. But growth required boundaries. Healing required honesty. Self-love required me to stop abandoning myself to keep others comfortable.
Not everyone will celebrate the new version of you. Some people miss the access they once had, not necessarily the person you are becoming.
That’s okay.
You didn’t outgrow them because you’re better than them.
You outgrew the role you were playing.
The people meant for your next chapter will respect your boundaries, honor your growth, and love you for who you are—not for what you do for them.
Sometimes saying “no” is the most powerful way to say “yes” to yourself.
✨ Growth isn’t losing people.
✨ It’s finding yourself.
