“I can hear you… I just can’t understand you.”

This is something we hear from many people experiencing hearing changes.

Hearing loss doesn’t always mean that everything sounds quiet. You may still hear someone talking, but the words themselves can sound unclear or muffled.

That’s because certain sounds, especially the sounds that help us distinguish one word from another, may not be coming through clearly. Add background noise, and following a conversation can become even more difficult.

If you’ve ever found yourself thinking, “I can hear them, but I can’t understand what they’re saying,” it may be time to have your hearing checked. 💙
