DAILY SELF CARE:

The simple things are also the most extraordinary things, and only the wise can see them.
Paulo Coelho

Slow it down
The pressures of Life seem to create a mandate that you do more to keep up. Identify one place in your life where you need to do the opposite and slow down. What can you put into practice? Who can you call on for assistance so that you can slow down in this area?

DAILY SELF CARE:

Forgive Yourself
Write down everything for which you need to forgive yourself. Read the list, then rip it into tiny pieces and throw them in the trash. Tell yourself, I am forgiven!

DAILY SELF CARE:

Simplify Routines
Routines can feel monotonous, but they simplify your life while increasing productivity. Morning and bedtime routines are specially important. Make them simple, but reproducible daily, based on your priorities. Establishing routines makes transitions easier and creates less stress on your body, allowing you to accomplish more than when you have hazardly attend to your priorities.

DAILY SELF CARE:

Unfollow Negativity
Unfollow or mute anyone on social media whose presence and opinions feel in conflict with your soul. If they don't bring you joy, or otherwise uplift you, do not give them any attention or valuable real estate in your life.

DAILY SELF CARE:

Choose one
Think of one habit that isn't benefiting you. Do you eat when you're stressed? Are you a smoker? A nail biter? Whatever that bad habit is, let it go this month.
But don't quit the Habit without replacing it with an alternative. Your habitual choices serve the purpose of fulfilling a need, sometimes in a healthy way, sometimes in an unhealthy way. Consider the need itself and how you can replace it with a healthier choice that will fulfill you.

Mays DAILY SELF CARE it's all about simplicity. This month is all about simplicity. When you are committed to simplifying your life, your priorities, desires, and deep needs rise to the surface. When life is cluttered with things and busyness, you become blind to your needs. The complex demands of the day-to-day grind overshadow the more important, simple needs of your life.

Sometimes you may hold on to possessions, relationships, people, and ideas long after their expiration date. It's okay, necessary even, to let things, people, and feelings that you no longer need fall away. When you remove the old to make way for the new, you are simply acknowledging what is and what isn't in your life.

Simplifying gives you the necessary space to breathe in deeply. It feeds your soul and creativity, and it allows you to lead and empowered life.

DAILY SELF CARE:

Write down all the positive changes you have affected in your life that were difficult to do. Applaud yourself for your effort, strength, and bravery. Reflect on how much better your life is today because of the hard choices you made.
Focus on releasing the least beneficial aspects of yourself and multiplying the healthy!

DAILY SELF CARE:

Gift your mind an opportunity to Rendezvous with possibility as you go about your day by jotting down some of your favorite motivational quotes and hanging them somewhere conspicuous. Every time you see them, it'll feel like a chance encounter with love, motivation, and self care.

DAILY SELF CARE:

You may often compromise your needs, once, and desires by putting things off. Wait until the kids get older. Wait until I lose weight. Wait until I make more money. Wait until I truly fall in love.
You are perfect enough just the way you are, and there is no need to wait. You are given one life, and you are guaranteed only this present moment.
Do something or start a project today that you've been putting off.
YOU GOT THIS!

TODAY'S SELF CARE:

Always consider criticism if it isn't an obvious direct, personal attack. You can learn a great deal about yourself from how people perceive you and your words. But you must care for yourself by guarding what type of criticism you take in. Considering what someone has to say is not the same as absorbing it as your truth. Examine the life of the person who is critiquing you. Do they have value to offer? Be intentional about how you react criticism, too. Don't respond immediately, but only after careful consideration. Use vetted critiques as a tool for improvement.
