Just when I think my work is done for the evening….i spot a swarm!

I am lucky enough to be tagging along with an amazing knowledgeable mentor and friend learning all things bees this year. These are not my bees, but soon I hope to hae bees back on my property. I’ve learned so much and honestly don’t even feel like I’m scratching the surface! Last week while we were checking in in hives we spotted the queen. I got to mark hwr! First time ever seeing and holding the queen. I was so excited and honored to not only see her but to hold her. Bees are amazing little creatures and tell us so much if we listen! Here’s a picture of me holding the queen juat after I marked her 🙂
Herbal Meadows Botanicals LLC is amazing at what she does and the care she puts into hives. She’s helped me gain the confidence I feel is important before adding bees back to my own homestead.
